What you need to know to pass the Michigan state builder's license exam. For those seeking a builder's license to build their own homes, investors and for building trades people who want to work legally. This is the comprehensive course you need to pass the exam. Licensed and experienced builder will explain all facets of basement remodeling including planning, meeting building codes, estimating materials as well as the basics of home construction and finishing techniques. Bring in your floor plan. The instructor will also discuss the structural aspects of adding a home theater as well as working wth subscontractors. Learn the home building process from start to finish. Licensed and experienced instructor will take you through each stage of planning and construction covering new home financing, builder's terms and contracts and the basics of buying property, building codes, inspections and permits.Also learn about homeowner's protection under the law. Includes how builders obtain bids for labor and materials and much more. Many checklists included. Also learn about new building materials and techniques. $35 extra for two building books payable to the instructor.
